Convictions

What matters in life ? Why do we exist in the first place ? What must we do ? What is right and what is wrong ? Who decides what is good and bad ? What is righteous and what is not ? Why is it that we are supposed to seek the path or righteousness ? What are emotions ? why do they get generated ? Are they (emotions) worth being considered in decision making or should one live completely logically ? Are people really the treasures of life or are they the reason for life's miseries ? Is there no sense of value in the world without the appreciation, approval and love of others ? Is there any goal in life worthy of spending a lifetime for ? Is it necessary to take care of other's sentiments ? Is it not true that everyone created his or her own sentiments and hence nobody must help anybody. Is there anything called love ? Does the definition of love include all forms of attachment or is romantic love different ? Does the ideal of "one love" hold any significance ? Is love assigned such overvalued status in our society because of the fear that exists all around at the subconscious level ? Or is it that it is just so that the average guy is sentimental enough not to look at the big picture and challenge the status-quo ? What makes people so weak that they can't hold on to their convictions ? Are there any true convictions at all ? Are we by nature an opportunist race ? Are we just here to propagate our species ? Is life just about living and dying or is there a higher purpose to it ? Have I been fooled since childhood ? Does good always happen to those who do good ? How does righteousness and honesty pay ? Should we really care for everyone ? Do we need to love unconditionally, knowing full well that these values are either the divine truth or (and more probably) just plants by the media to keep us slaves of the system ? Will people ever see that we have a society which fears so much that children are, from childhood told to stay away from strangers ? Should children not be disobedient ? Should we not learn to lie and act just to achieve the ends that we seek ? Should we not see the inherrent flaw in the idea that there is something like "be good and good shall happen to you" ? Should we not accept the well established fact that love is just a play of chemicals ? Should we not adapt and look for just the most beautiful face? Should the fools not stop looking for just a good soul to love ? Is there any such thing as a "soulmate" ? Is there any such thing as a soul in the first place ? How aware is the body of the soul? How aware is the soul of itself ? If I did find my soulmate, would I recognize him/her ? Is it a fact that soulmates are made and not born or is it a fallacy ? Should children be left to form their own beliefs instead of taking their value system from the society and the media ? Should there not be a more sensitive entertainment media which is free of the unipolar topic of love relationships when it comes to movies ? Should the silver-screen ideals of Bravery, compassion and Love not be expected and not even be attempted in real life (asking because I almost did that twice this year ;) ) Should life be valued ? Should other people's sentiments be cared about ? Do the tears of a loved one matter ?

Does god play dice ?

These are just some questions that I, as an individual seek answers to. And the answers are sought from life, and from myself.
